My uncle Scott had a heart attack yesterday. When he first started to have symptoms he didn't want to go to the hospital. Luckily his coworkers convinced him to at least see his sister, my aunt Candy who is a nurse. He had every classic symptom of a stroke and she made him get to the hospital.
From what I've been told, he had one artery that was almost 99% clogged, which they got opened, but there's still another that's about 60% clogged that they're not sure what to do with yet. He stayed in ICU last night, and will stay in the hospital another two days. The good news is that the doctors say there isn't any permanent damage to his heart.
My family would appreciate your prayers, and not just for his health right now. After he gets out of the hospital the real struggle will begin, changing his lifestyle so it doesn't have to happen again. Good-bye cigarettes!
